Dosche Community is an online feedback community and a safe place to say what you think about Dosche. To ask your opinion, we’ll use questionnaires and forums on subjects we think will be of interest to you.

The information you give us will be seen and used by Dosche and Kantar (an independent market research company).

Your Profile
Why do I need a profile and how do I create it?
You can access your profile via "[username]: My profile" in the top right corner of the header on the start page. We and all other participants would be pleased if you maintain your profile (by clicking on "Edit account") intensively, i.e. set a picture as avatar and provide as much information about yourself as possible. This information can be changed and updated at any time if something changes in your profile.
How can I add another image (avatar) to my profile?
Your avatar will always be displayed as your personal identifying feature in all your posts. You can edit your profile and change your avatar in the "[Username]: My Profile" section under "Edit Account". There you can delete the current photo or select a new photo.
Hotspots
What is a Hotspot?
Hotspots are our survey topics, which usually consist of a survey and discussions.
There are two ways to participate in hotspots:
- Hotspots where all participants can participate
Usually all participants can participate in a hotspot. We will inform you about new hotspots in our newsletter and on the community homepage. To participate, you can go to the two menu items Hotspot and Surveys, or simply click on the Hotspot field on the start page. For the survey you will also receive an invitation by e-mail, which you can use to participate directly in the survey. - Hotspots, where only certain target groups can participate
For certain topics we need the opinion of certain target groups. We use your answers from the initial questionnaire to determine whether you are particularly interested or qualified for a particular topic.
How long does a hotspot last?
Hotspots last one or two weeks and are announced on the start page. In addition, they are also announced by newsletter. However, there can also be shorter hotspots, as their duration generally depends on the scope of a topic.
Contributions to the discussion
How do I create a comment in a discussion?
To post a comment in a discussion, click on the link "Post comment" within a discussion, which is located below the question.
To comment on the contributions of other participants, click on "Reply" at the bottom right of the respective discussion contribution.
To open a new discussion, enter the "Forum" via the menu bar. There you will see a field below the current discussion for creating a new discussion ("Create new discussion"). Here you can start directly and insert your discussion title and the corresponding text.
How do I quickly find new discussion posts?
In the discussion overviews, you will find a link to new contributions below the preview. Just click on this button. This way you can access the latest comments at any time and find your way back into the discussion more easily!
How can I insert pictures into discussions?
It is often worthwhile to include images and illustrations in comments and answers to better represent a subject matter:
- First click on "Write comment" in a discussion and select the graphic symbol in the menu area.
- Then you continue with the button "Search server".
- To upload your own or saved picture, you first have to store it on the server. To do so, click on "Browse".
- In the next step you have to select the uploaded file from the image directory of the server by clicking and then "Insert file".
- After confirming the action with "OK", the image will be displayed in the comment and its size can be adjusted manually with the mouse.
Use of image material:
Image rights are a complex issue and it is often questionable what rights are attached to an image, e.g. whether it is protected or whether the image has been released by the owner.
Our recommendation: For a picture that you upload to us or that you use for collages, give us a reference (e.g. the internet address where you found the picture). This way you demonstrate that you do not want to make yourself the owner of this picture.
How can I refer to other comments
Everybody knows the problem: in an exciting discussion countless comments are lined up and one would like to comment on an older statement without posting in the middle of the "conversation". Here we have the solution for you: quote!
- Just click on "Quote" at the corresponding comment.
- Then the quoted text appears in square brackets.
- You can also delete a part of the text in the quote so that you can concentrate on the essential.
- Or copy the quote including the start and end codes, click the "back arrow" to get back to the discussion without saving the comment and now insert a comment at the end of the corresponding thread or another suitable place in the discussion where you can paste the copied quote again.
How can I link words in a comment?
- First mark the word you want to link.
- Then click on the left paper clip icon in the menu bar above the text field.
- A pop-up window will open where you can insert the URL you want to link to.
Linked words turn blue. If you want to delete the link, first click on the linked word and then on the right paper clip symbol (with the x).
Points
What are points for?
You receive bonus points for your hotspot activities.
Surveys outside hotspots can also be rewarded with bonus points. The number of points can vary depending on the scope and task. The basic rule is: 1 reward point is worth 1 €.
Within a hotspot you can earn rewards points in two ways:
- By using cubes, which you get assigned by the moderators for your comments in hotspot discussions. At the end of a hotspot, these are converted into rewards points and credited to your points account. The following applies to the allocation of cubes:
It's not the quantity that counts - we focus on quality! Each entry is read and personally evaluated by the independent moderator team. Contributions that we particularly like because they provide us with very good insights are awarded with up to three so-called cubes. - For each hotspot, a certain total amount of points is available, which is distributed among the hotspot participants based on their collected cubes and completed surveys. The amount of available points can vary depending on the hotspot. You can see an overview of your cubes collected in the hotspot on the respective hotspot page under the tab "Hotspot Cubes".
- By directly awarding bonus points for participating in hotspot surveys (usually 2 bonus points). The points are credited directly to your points account.
For particularly long surveys, 30 x 5 bonus points are raffled off among all survey participants. These points are also credited to your points account.
You can view your points balance at any time in your profile under your profile picture and in more detail under the "Points" tab.
How do I redeem my collected bonus points?
To redeem your rewards points, open your profile and click on the "Redeem rewards points" button located under your points balance. You then have the possibility to choose your desired amount (amounts in steps of 5€ are possible). Afterwards, click on "Order" to complete the process and you will receive a confirmation email.
Please note that although vouchers can be ordered at any time, they will be processed in bundles at the beginning of the following month.

What does Kantar do with my contributions?
The evaluation of the community content takes place continuously. The results are used by the respective departments from which certain hotspot topics come. So you are not working on a single large project, but support many important decisions and the people behind them with your opinions and input.
What are star ratings?
Please use the star ratings. You can find them on discussion pages. It is important for us to know what you like and what you don't like. Let us know why you like or dislike something using the comment function there.
To give us your opinion, just click on the appropriate star. The more stars, the better your judgement!
How do I quickly find questions and answers from the moderator to my posts?
In order to find out directly whether a moderator has posted an answer to your comment - for example a question - you will receive an e-mail which informs you of this and shows a direct link to the respective comment. This way you are always up to date and never miss a moderator's post that follows your comment!
How can I follow content?
As you may know, you can follow individual discussions that are of particular interest to you.
- By clicking on the "I want to follow" button, you can be notified by e-mail when new answers are found in a discussion. This way you will be automatically notified when a new comment is posted in this discussion. This eliminates time-consuming searching and you are always up-to-date.
- Additionally you can see an overview on your profile, which contents you follow. Just check your profile under the tab "Set notifications". Here you can edit the notification form or remove your "I follow" settings, should you decide against it.
How do I find other members?
Are you interested in the profile of a specific user? Just navigate to the member overview under "Members". Enter the username (or parts of it) of the user you are looking for.
You can also filter by driver identification, for example "electric driver", "Mercedes-Benz customer" etc.
How can I write messages to other members?
Just as you can follow content, you can also follow members.
Just go to the profile of a member and click the "I want to follow" button. This will keep you informed about the user's activities in the community.
To be able to write messages to other members, the desired user must be added as a contact. Just click on "add as contact" in the user's profile.
What do I need to do if I forget my password?
If you can’t remember your password, simply click on the “Request new password” button on the login page for the Dosche portal to receive a new password by email.
